It was a long cherished day on 8th July, 2008, the website of Pather Panchali was hosted online. The day was auspicious to all of us as our beloved and respected Jyoti Basu stepped into 95 on this day. Amidst different programs, lakhs of people assembled in front of Jyoti Babu's residence to meet and greet him. Pather Panchali arranged for a short but special program at his residence. The great personality with his own hand launched the website www.patherpanchali.org. He also launched another website conceptualized by Pather Panchali on him at www.jyotibasu.net. On this eve, Pather Panchali gifted a Ten Lakh Rupee Cheque to Sri Basu. Pather Panchali wishes Sri Basu healthy life.
